Two rockets strike southern Israeli city

Two rockets were fired Saturday morning from Gaza and landed in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon, one of them hitting an educational institution and the other landing in an open area, the Israeli military said. Josias Krumpf, 83, lived for years after the war in Racine, Wisconsin.

Purported bin Laden message surfaces

An audio message purportedly from al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden emerged on radical Islamist Web sites, just two days after the United States marked the eighth anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terror attacks. “To the American people, this is my message to you: a reminder of the reasons behind 9/11 and the wars and the repercussions that followed and the way to resolve it,” the message said.

Two great white sharks tagged off Massachusetts coast

The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries has tagged two great white sharks off Cape Cod in an area where shark sightings have been reported, state officials said Sunday. The first tagging Saturday marked the first time a great white shark had been successfully tagged in the Atlantic Ocean, the division said in a statement.

Hamas accused over rocket attacks
