Avengers 2: Fast and Furious

As an actor, Vin Diesel isn’t all that into subtlety (a quick look at the Fast and Furious films should be proof enough that he isn’t the new olivier).

And he takes the same blunt approach when it comes to dropping hints.

Last month Diesel revealed that Marvel had “requested a meeting” with him. He didn’t elaborate on what the meeting was about, so the internet filled the vaccuum, speculating wildly about the kind of heroes Diesel could play.

The actor decided to put the web out of it’s misery this week, with a series of less-than-cryptic clues.

He posted on his Facebook account a picture of himself standing infront of the cover to Avengers issue 2 (wait, Avengers #2, that looks a lot like Avengers 2).

Underneath the pic, he wrote:

Marvel meeting today…

Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed…

P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen… you know I get tunnel vision with my work… and after that meeting today… wow!

It didn’t take long for comic fans to decipher the caption. The words “tunnel vision” stand out like a sore thumb and, according to fans, are a clear indication Diesel’s up for the role of Vision, a an alien android who helps out Earth’s mightiest heroes.

Diesel’s post could backfire, though. Marvel is notoriously cagey about plot details leaking onto the internet. Let’s hope he signed the paper work before he took to Facebook.
