Beyonce has poked fun at herself by revamping the lyrics to her hit song Halo to acknowledge her hair drama at a concert in Canada. The singer crouched down on the edge of the stage at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Monday to belt out the ballad when her long locks got swept up into the blades of an industrial-sized fan positioned in front of the audience pit.

Study: Link Between Antidepressants and Miscarriage

Pregnancy is often fraught with complications, not least for women suffering from depression while carrying a child: new research suggests that women who take antidepressant medications during pregnancy may have an increased risk of miscarriage. Scientists at the University of Montreal reported Monday, May 31, in the Canadian Medical Association Journal that women taking the drugs most often prescribed to treat depression and anxiety — including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors , serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors and the older tricyclics — had a significantly higher risk of miscarriage than a matched control group of women who did not take antidepressants.

Federer and Djokovic through in Cincinnati

World number one Roger Federer held off the challenge of Argentine Jose Acasuso to reach the second round of the Cincinnati Masters — where he will be joined by fourth seed Novak Djokovic. The top-seeded Swiss went through 6-3 7-5 in one hour and 10 minutes to earn a clash with David Ferrer. Acasuso was broken in the eighth game, with Federer then serving out to take the opening set.

Murray overtakes Nadal to reach Montreal final

Andy Murray clinched the No. 2 world ranking in men’s tennis despite struggling with his serve in Saturday’s semifinal victory over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Montreal Masters. The British third seed won 6-4 7-6 (10-8) in the Canadian hardcourt event to overtake Rafael Nadal and set up a final clash with either American fifth seed Andy Roddick or sixth-seeded Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro.
