Sol3 Mio head on national tour

Auckland trio Sol3 Mio are taking their powerful operatic voices and irrepressible Samoan humour on the road next year.

Since selling out a show at the Auckland Town Hall in October 2012 the Samoan trio from Auckland, made up of tenor brothers Pene and Amitai Pati and their baritone cousin Moses Mackay have gone from strength to strength.

The trio recorded their debut album earlier this year in London with renowned producer Nick Patrick, who has worked with the likes of Hayley Westenra and Russell Watson.

Since its release on 15 November, it has stormed the charts, sitting tight on No.1 and selling three times platinum.

Their remarkable voices, as well as the trio’s comedy timing, developed at their weekly childhood performances around South Auckland rest homes, makes Sol3 Mio’s live performances unique.

Tickets on sale Tuesday 17 December from 9am www.sol3mio.com
