Lily Allen agrees her songs are ‘docile pop rubbish’

British pop star Lily Allen has blamed her record label and radio stations for not pushing the best tracks off her new album, after a fan slammed her new tracks as “docile pop rubbish”.

Despite overwhelmingly positive reviews of songs already released from her forthcoming album Sheezus, she fired back an intriguing response to a Twitter follower.

@RFWilding what you’ve heard so far yes. All i can do is do my best, the labels and the radio stations won’t play the better stuff.

New album Sheezus, which she says is named as an homage to Kanye West and his Yeezus album, will be out on May 2.

The first single, Hard Out Here has racked up almost 23 million YouTube views. The other singles already out are Air Balloon, L8 CMMR and Our Time.
