After a year’s absence the Big Day Out is returning to Auckland, in new quarters. The first lineup announcement for the January 17 festival is due on August 1, organisers said today

Osbourne and the original Black Sabbath line up of bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Iommi will play at Auckland’s Vector Arena on April 20 and 22. Widely regarded as one of the most influential bands of all time, this will be the first New Zealand show for the original Black Sabbath in nearly 40 years.
