UNESCO’s World Heritage List of 2012 came with some unexpected but fascinating places for travelers around the world.

Every year UNESCO names new cultural and natural wonders to its World Heritage List.

UNESCO has 745 cultural, 188 natural and 29 mixed properties in 157 States Parties. As of March 2012
