Mumford & Sons bassist has blood clot on brain

Mumford & Sons have cancelled a series of shows after bassist Ted Dwane was hospitalised with a blood clot on the brain.

The British indie folk group were forced to postpone headline concerts in the US on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday following Dwane’s “emergency treatment”.

The band, fronted by Marcus Mumford, made the announcement on their official website earlier today.

“Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment.

“The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation.
