The future is uncertain for Morning Report co-host Simon Mercep, who has declined to comment on reports he is to step down from the show.
“There is a review going on, as there often is,” he said.
“That’s pretty much all I can say.”
A report quoting unnamed sources at Radio New Zealand said Mercep would step down from Morning Report when co-host Geoff Robinson leaves in April.
It was possible Mercep could be moved to another show.
Robinson is being replaced in April by journalist Guyon Espiner.
Radio New Zealand spokesman John Barr was not immediately available for comment.
