WotWots prepare to invade on a grand scale

The WotWots will soon invade bedrooms throughout Turkey and Russia after Wellington’s Pukeko Pictures signed a home textiles deal with Zorluteks Textile.

The preschool TV twosome will feature on a range of textiles, including bed linen, duvets, bed skirts, pillow cases, comforters, curtains, bath towels, terrycloth robes, polar fleece blankets, acrylic blankets, plush cushions, ready beds and window shades.

The products will brighten the day of children in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Belarus and Turkey.

The Zorlu Textiles Group is the leader of the Turkish home textiles sector. It holds the home textiles licences on dozens of famous cartoon and other characters in many countries, and controls an important share of the licensed products market.

Pukeko Pictures is an independent entertainment production company founded in 2008 by Sir Richard Taylor, Tania Rodger and Martin Baynton.

Company chief executive Andrew Smith said The WotWots brand continued to be universal in its appeal and a popular preschool choice for children and their families.

Smith said he was working with local agents in other key territories to build the WotWots brand on the back of strong audience broadcast ratings.
