Wiggles take a bite at Suarez

Even the Wiggles have been bitten by the Suarez bug, it seems.

The popular children’s entertainers released their take on the Uruguayan player’s recent World Cup antics.

Suarez is alleged to have bitten Italian player Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup clash in which Uruguay beat Italy 1-0.

In a YouTube video entitled The Last Suarez Supper!, which is strictly for adults only, the Wiggles changed the lyrics to the Toreador song from Bizet’s opera, Carmen.

Emma, Simon and Lachy the Yellow, red and Purple Wiggles, are seen in the video with towels placed over their arms like waiters.

As Simon sings “If Suarez is feeling hungry at the World Cup, He takes a bit,” Anthony, the blue Wiggle, pops up miming with a fork as he pretends to eat a football.

Simon continues: “If his tummy starts to rumble at the World Cup, He takes a bite.”

The parody continues and the Wiggles even name check the Italian player Suarez is alleged to have bitten on the shoulder.

“He loves the tasty dish of Italian Chiellini, A dash of salt and pepper on the shoulder, Oh yummy,” Simon sings.

The Wiggles then replace the operatic refrain with the lyrics “Suarez! Suarez! Italian you will eat, Suarez! Suarez! Chiellini such a treat.

“Italian you will eat even if it’s on two feet”.

The clip ends with the three Wiggles brandishing red cards and with Simon holding aloft a trophy that resembles the World Cup.

The Wiggles are enjoying getting in on the current sporting action. Recently they performed their own version of the Red Hot Chilli Pepper song, Under the Bridge, ahead of the State of Origin II game.

The question now is, what will their next sporting parody be perhaps Wimbledon

One thing’s for sure, they’re not just singing about that Big Red Car any more.
