Shia LaBeouf enters rehab

Shia LaBeouf has reportedly checked into rehab.

The 28-year-old actor was booked by police for disorderly conduct in New York City on Thursday after he allegedly acted erratically while sitting in the audience at Broadway musical Cabaret. He has since been released.

LaBeouf apparently visited a treatment facility in Hollywood on Monday, x17Online reports.

“Shia was nervous; he didn’t look good all morning,” an x17 photographer said. “He was looking down and wasn’t even talking to his driver. It looked like he didn’t want to do it, but he knew he had to.”

Before being taken into custody on Thursday, LaBeouf was reportedly acting weird. An eyewitness told TMZ he began arguing with a homeless man over a hat and appeared “whacked out” throughout the entire interaction.

This apparently took place hours after LaBeouf began “day-drinking” at Iguana NYC restaurant and lounge, TMZ reports. Witnesses told TMZ they saw LaBeouf acting bizarre outside of another bar called Three Monkeys. He purportedly began screaming in a drunken rage at a woman walking in the street.

LaBeouf reportedly acted disruptively during the first act of the play, which stars Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams. He was allegedly escorted out by police for disturbing the cast and audience by smoking inside the theatre as well as other bad behaviour.

The former Transformers star recently dominated headlines for his self-proclaimed performance art, including an incident in Berlin when he appeared on a red carpet with a brown paper bag on his head reading: “I’m Not Famous Anymore.”
