Australian entertainer Rolf Harris faces three more charges of indecent assault against girls in England, English media report.
The new allegations include one against a girl aged “7 or 8”, the BBC reports.
Harris, 83, was charged on August 29 this year with 13 sex offences, including four counts of possessing indecent images of children and nine of indecent assault involving two girls aged 14 and 15 during the 1980s.
The first new charge was of indecent assault relating to a girl aged 19 in 1984 – the same complainant as six of the existing charges.
The two other charges are of indecent assault of a girl aged 7 or 8, in 1968 or 1969, and one offence of indecent assault of a girl aged 14, in 1975.
The artist, who painted the Queen’s portrait in 2005 and performed at her Diamond Jubilee concert last year, will enter pleas to all the allegations when he appears in London’s Southwark Crown Court on January 14, the Mirror reports.
Born in Perth, Australia, to Welsh parents, Harris has lived in England for more than 50 years.
He had his first hit, Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport, in 1960 and has continued to enjoy success in the music industry since.
He also became a television presenter, getting his big break in 1967 when he began hosting his own BBC1 programme, The Rolf Harris Show.
He moved on to children’s television in the 1980s and later to Animal Hospital, which he hosted from 1994 to 2004.
