Nude Calendar for an Old Friend

Women pose nearly nude in sultry calendar that honors dead friend who was quite the lady’s man

‘Game Birds’ calendar will honor Richard Warr, dead in car crash, and raise funds for local air ambulance.

A group of British women banded together and took most of their clothes off to create the Game Birds calendar to honor their friend, Richard Warr, who died in a car crash last year. Proceeds from the nearly nude calendar will be donated to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. The idea for the unique project sprang from the notion of finding a way to capture Warr’s “lust for life,” according to the New York Daily News.

Two dozen ladies posed in what some may consider scandalous poses for the memorial calendar. The term “bird” refers to British slang for an attractive woman. The title of the naughty yet natural project reportedly combines the man’s two loves, women and sports. Richard Warr was just 21-years-old when he died. He was killed alongside his friend, Claire Barlow, 24, when a small car hit his Mazda pick-up truck one night last August. He was airlifted to a Birmingham hospital, but died shortly after arriving.

An excerpt from the Game Birds calendar website reads:

“It could be said that Rich had a way with the ladies and appreciated the female form, but that would be an extreme understatement.”

The very scantily-clad models range in age from 18 to 40 years old. While the photos are somewhat provocative, the nearly nude women shield their private parts with strings of bullets, hunting bags, a sash, or in some cases, just their arms. A photo of three young women hanging around a beat-up old truck wearing barely any clothing has already become quite popular.
