Margot Robbie turns down Hefner’s Playboy offer

Australian actor Margot Robbie has declined Hugh Hefner’s offer of a Playboy photo shoot.

Robbie’s raunchy scenes alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street grabbed Hefner’s attention, and he made a public plea for the Australian star to bare all in his magazine.

Even though the 87-year-old Playboy playboy didn’t know Robbie’s name, he told Us Weekly he was impressed by her performance.

“Send her a message! We’re ready for her. She would be great,” he said.

However the 23-year-old actor turned down Hefner’s offer, telling The Edge that it would be too much for her family.

“I’ve put my family through enough,” said Robbie, joking that she would only think about posing for Playboy if she was older and her career was heading south.

Robbie, who played Jordan Belfort’s trophy wife Naomi Lapaglia in the film, says she has no regrets about her raunchy scenes.

“When I’m in my 50s I’m going to be looking back saying, ‘whoop whoop’, look how good mum looked,” says Robbie.

The former Neighbours actor says some of the credit for her smoking looks should go to the make-up team and film crew.

“I had a crew around me making me look that good,” says Robbie, claiming it wasn’t all her own beauty.

Although Robbie turned down the offer of a Playboy shoot, she has graced the cover of Vanity Fair’s 20th annual Hollywood issue.

Robbie appears alongside A-listers including George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Idris Elba, Jared Leto and Lupita Nyong’o.

She made waves at the Golden Globes recently, owning the red carpet in a cream, jewelled Gucci dress.
