59-year-old Richard Whitehead is facing two felony counts of second degree sexual assault. Whitehead, who reportedly confessed to police that he inappropriately touched two girls, ages 6 & 10, has been in the Faulkner County Jail since Thursday night.
The 59-year-old grandfather from Conway, Ark. was arrested after several days of investigating allegations of sexual abuse of a six-year-old girl.
Whitehead is now facing two counts of felony sexual assault in the second degree. He confessed to detectives that he inappropriately touched the six-year-old girl and another 10-year-old girl.
The six-year-old’s father reported the incident to police after he got a call from another parent. The parent claimed Whitehead inappropriately touched her daughter.
Whitehead admitted he touched both girls and that he spent five years in jail in the 1980s for a sexual offense.
He is in the Faulkner County Jail as of Thursday night
