Man Arrested for Allegedly Beating Son During A Game of Catch

Antony Sanchez, a California Elected Official, turned himself in when he learned there was a warrant out for his arrest on charges of alleged child abuse.

Sanchez was filmed by a neighbor while he was playing a game of catch with his stepson in the back yard, which is surrounded by a security fence. His Neighbor observed him, from a second story window, beating his son with a belt repeatedly for not catching the ball.

Sanchez has yet to be seen in court and has bailed himself out on $100,000 bond. His neighbor says he is glad he was able to catch the incident on tape but regrets not calling for Sanchez to stop earlier.

Child abuse frequently goes unreported and can leave physical and emotional wounds that may never heal. Please, if you suspect child abuse, call 911 and report it to the police.
