11-year old wins epic guitar duel

An 11-year-old has become the internet’s guitar hero after out-shredding the Steel Panther lead guitarist in an in-concert duel.

Aidan Fisher attended heavy metal band Steel Panther’s concert with his father at The Midland Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri, last month.

Aidan’s father Chris Fisher helped him make a sign that said “I challenge Satchel to a guitar solo” which the band took notice of during the show, and called him on stage.

Aidan then blew the 3000 strong audience away with not one, but two, guitar solos – his rendition of Eddie Van Halen’s Eruption was so impressive the band kept him on for Van Halen’s version of You Really Got Me.

Chris Fisher told Omaha’s KETV he could barely hear Aidan playing the guitar because of the raucous response from the crowd cheering him on.

The performance was “the best time of my life,” Aidan said.

Satchel then autographed Aidan’s sign, writing, “Aidan, you won!!!”

A video of Aidan’s performance has had more than 1.7 million views on YouTube since it was posted by his father.
