Would you risk your life for fame?

Wesley Warren Jones, who suffers from an extremely rare condition called “Scrotal Elephantiasis” that made his scrotum swell to 100 pounds is enjoying the fame that his giant organ has brought him.

During an interview in October Jones was devastated by the pain and humiliation of his condition. He said that he suffered from depression and health complication.

‘I don’t like being a freak, who would?’ he told the Review-Journal. He has to wear clothing to hide his enormous scrotum and his penis is buried so deep that he is forced to urinate on himself and all he asked for to urinate like a normal man and have a romantic relationship with a woman.

47-year-old Warren even claimed to go public to raise money for his surgery since he couldn’t afford it by himself. After his story got heard celebrity physician Doctor Oz said that he would pay for the entire surgery at a top notch hospital and another doctor has agreed to waive most of the cost for procure but Mr. Warren didn’t accept the offers

So what happened with in these 6 months that made him change his mind about getting a surgery?

He became famous … well at least a local celebrity in his hometown.

His 100 pound scrotum landed him on the Howard Stern Show and Tosh.0, he shot a segment for TLC and the company behind “Big Fat Gypsy Wedding” has already signed a contract to make a documentary.

He said that he didn’t take Dr. Oz’s $1 Million corrective surgery offer because he had to give up the rights to his story and Howard Stern wanted him on his show again.

His love for fame may not be the only thing that is holding him back though.

Even if he accepts the free surgery offers or find the money himself , still there is a big risk that he may not make it through the surgery. The surgery is highly complicated since doctors must remove the excess tissue and completely rebuild his scrotum.

There is also a small chance that complications could force doctors to remove his penis and testicles if they can’t stop the bleeding.

Dr Joel Gelman, a University of California, Irvine surgeon, who has ‘never lost a patient or a testicle’ while performing the operation has offered to fly to Nevada and perform the procedure for free, as wel

Mr Warren still hasn’t followed through with Dr Gelman.
