One stereotype that just won’t rest is that dudes working on a construction site are inherently sexist, lecherous and blokey. I mean who knows what they do in their spare time, probably listen to Mozart and cut the crusts off their kids sandwiches, but the stereotype remains.
And to be fair, any woman who’s walked warily past a construction site has probably been at least wolf whistled at, something we know that is not actually a compliment.
Anyway, this Snickers ad has turned all of that on its head by featuring super blokey tradies yelling out empowering messages to unsuspecting women, and absolutely making their day. It’s great.
“What do we want Equality. What don’t we want Misogyny!”
