The Rock wants dinner with Willis

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wants to treat Bruce Willis to dinner.

The pair star in G.I. Joe: Retaliation together, with Dwayne portraying Roadblock in the sequel to the hit 2009 fantasy action film.

The Rock reveres Willis and felt privileged to be acting alongside him in Retaliation.

Still, Johnson is pretty sure who would be the victor should the pair get in a real life fight.

“I would not wanna go against Bruce Willis because he is the godfather of action! But would I take him Yes I’d take him… to dinner, that’s where I can take him!” Johnson told Cover Media at the London red carpet premiere of G.I. Joe: Retaliation.

“You know, he’s my buddy and I love him and I’ve looked up to him for a very long time.”

Although Johnson has a professional wrestling background, he confesses shooting the film was gruelling physically.

“Very difficult! Was about a 13 to 14 week prep for this,” he shared.

“Plus at the same time I was preparing to go back into the WWE so I had wrestling training camp going on while we were doing this so it was a nice balance. Now I’ve had to ratchet it up for Hercules, it’s nonstop!”

Johnson is impressed with the way G.I. Joe: Retaliation merchandise turned out.

There apparently was a huge need to get the action figures to accurately represent the actors.

“The only competition was to make sure that they were anatomically correct!” Johnson joked.

Although the star is set to, like his friend Bruce, become an action icon, Johnson confesses he is a softie in multiple ways.

“Who’s my hero My mom,” he declared.

G.I. Joe: Retaliation will be released in New Zealand cinemas March 28.
