Israel claims woman hurt in rocket attack

A woman was injured Saturday when a rocket landed in northern Israel, a spokesman for the Israeli police said. Charla Nash, 55, was in critical but stable condition Friday with “severe trauma to her face, scalp and hands” at the clinic, Dr. Daniel Alam, a facial and plastic and reconstructive surgeon, said in a written statement.

At least 27 dead in Pakistan suicide bombing

Chimp attack victim moved to Cleveland Clinic

A Connecticut woman attacked Monday by her friend’s pet chimpanzee was taken Thursday from a Connecticut hospital to the famed Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, a hospital spokeswoman said. She would not divulge the victim’s condition nor the reason for the move. Charla Nash, 55, was transferred by airplane and ambulance to the clinic, where doctors in December performed the first facial transplant in the United States.
