It’s a girl for Jude Law

Less than two months after he acknowledged that a model he had dated was pregnant with his child, Jude Law is a father — again. A friend of the family told PEOPLE that Samantha Burke, the 24-year-old aspiring actress whom Law met while filming “Sherlock Holmes” in New York City last year, gave birth to a daughter Tuesday night.

Custody Agreement Reached for Jackson’s Kids

Michael Jackson’s brood will indeed be growing up Jackson, but not without the occasional visit from a familiar face. Debbie Rowe will officially return to the lives of her two birth children, according to a joint statement between Rowe’s and Katherine Jackson’s attorneys released early July 30. In lieu of a custody battle between Katherine Jackson and Rowe, the two sides reached an agreement.

Jackson estate says it recovered $5.5 million from ex-advisers

The administrators of Michael Jackson’s estate have filed court papers disclosing they’ve recovered $5.5 million in cash from one of Jackson’s "former financial advisers." They expect to present contracts to the court “within the week” that should add “tens of millions of dollars” to Jackson’s estate, which they said is solvent and worth an estimated $500 million, the documents said.

U.S. dad’s custody case returns to Brazilian appeals court

Brazil’s highest court said Wednesday it does not have jurisdiction over who should have custody of a U.S.-born 9-year-old boy — his Brazilian stepfather or his father in the United States. The high court’s ruling sends the ongoing case back to an appeals court in Rio de Janeiro. In the unanimous vote, Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court said it could not rule over The Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, of which Brazil is a signatory.

National Archives loses hard drive with Clinton era records
