Real march on as AC Milan slump at home

Real Madrid’s big summer spendings continued their scoring spree in a 3-0 Champions League win over Marseille but fellow European giants AC Milan suffered a shock 1-0 home defeat to Swiss minnows FC Zurich. Cristiano scored another double and Brazilian ace Kaka was also on target for Real who scored all their goals in the second half at the Bernabeu to top Group C with a maximum of six points

Ronaldo double helps Real roll Swiss side

Cristiano Ronaldo scored two free-kicks on his European debut for Real Madrid, who opened their Champions League Group C campaign with a 5-2 victory away to FC Zurich on Tuesday night. Ronaldo, who became the world’s most expensive player when he joined the Spanish club for $130 million from Manchester United in July, put the visitors ahead in the 27th minute and then sealed victory on 89 as the Swiss side sought to level at 3-3
