A jailed laborer from El Salvador has been charged with first-degree murder in the 2001 slaying of federal intern Chandra Levy, authorities said Tuesday. Police are close to making an arrest in the Chandra Levy murder case, one of Washington’s most infamous cold cases, CNN affiliate KGO reported Saturday.
