Rangers investigate alleged Edu racist abuse

Scottish Premier League club Rangers have confirmed they are investigating alleged racist abuse towards United States international midfielder Maurice Edu after their Champions League defeat to Unirea Urziceni on Tuesday. The 23-year-old played no part in the 4-1 Group G defeat to the Romania side but watched the match at Ibrox and said on social networking site Twitter that he was targeted by his own club’s supporters as he left the stadium

Man United warn Le Havre over Pogba claims

Manchester United have warned French side Le Havre they will take action against them unless they stop repeating claims that the English Premier League champions offered financial inducements to Paul Pogba’s family in order to lure the teenager to Old Trafford. United have grown angry at the sustained assault by Le Havre, which came in the wake of a transfer ban imposed on Chelsea last week for a similar infringement of the rules.
