Several injured in Qantas incident

Seven people were injured aboard a Qantas flight from Hong Kong, China, to Perth, Australia, after the jetliner hit turbulence over Borneo in Malaysia overnight, the airline said on Monday. Six passengers and a crew member sustained minor injuries and were treated onboard, the airline said in a statement on its Web site. Qantas said the aircraft was an Airbus A330-300, adding that the Australian Transport Safety Bureau will investigate and that there was no reason to link the incident to other incidents involving A330 aircraft

French sub joins plane crash search

A French nuclear submarine joined the hunt Wednesday for the "black box" flight data recorder and other wreckage of Air France Flight 447 as Brazilian air force and navy crews continued to pull bodies from the Atlantic. France is leading the investigation into what caused last week’s accident when the Paris-bound flight from Rio de Janeiro plunged into the sea off the Brazilian coast with 228 passengers and crew on board. The French nuclear submarine Emeraude began patrolling the area Wednesday morning, the French defense ministry said.

Suspected suicide blast kills 30 at Pakistani mosque
