James Franco too scared to go home

James Franco has stopped going home because too many “psychos” know where he lives.

The actor has a difficult relationship with fame and doesn’t enjoy being in the public eye. He does want to be successful though, so finds it a hard line to tread.

Although he is thankful to have fans who enjoy his work, some of the more unsavoury sides of fame are tough for him to handle.

“It’s pretty scary when you buy a new house and they put the address on the internet,” he told the latest edition of UK magazine InStyle.

“Photographers then know where you live and pretty much every psycho out there can turn up on your doorstep. I haven’t been to my house in a while because of it actually.”

The star has been promoting his movie Oz the Great and Powerful recently, which is a prequel to the famous Wizard of Oz story.

It also stars Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz and the star had an excellent time shooting the release, although attending the premieres was a different matter.

“I don’t mind really,” he said, when asked if he’s comfortable on the red carpet. “You just turn up, answer some superficial questions and that’s that!”

Earlier this week, Franco was spotted cosying up to supermodel Petra Nemcova at a screening of the film in New York City. He posed with his arm around her waist, sparking speculation he might have his eye on her.

While he didn’t discuss his love life in much detail in the new interview, the 34-year-old insisted he is a good boyfriend.

“I’m fun to date!” he enthused. “[I like to take women for] dinner and a movie, then a walk home and a sweet kiss on the doorstep…”
