“Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” actor Ian McKellen just announced he has prostate cancer.
Non-Life-Threatening
73-year-old McKellen told the Daily Mirror he’s been suffering from prostate cancer for the last six or seven years, but said it was not life-threatening.
“When you have got it, you monitor it, and you have to be careful it doesn’t spread. But if it is contained in the prostate, it’s no big deal.”
It’s Contained, Not Spreading
He added, “I am examined regularly and it’s just contained, it’s not spreading. I’ve not had any treatment.”
