Boy saves kid from drowning in swimming pool, becomes hero at age 8

Cooper Davis is proof that swim lessons pay off. When the 8-year-old was playing in a swimming pool on a vacation near Disneyland earlier this month, he saw a boy face down on the bottom. Davis said at first he thought the boy was playing, but once another kid yelled for help, Davis instantly switched into hero mode, diving down to the bottom and grabbing the drowning stranger. He latched the victim with one arm and dragged him up to the surface, where his father ran over and began CPR, taking care of the other boy until paramedics arrived. Davis currently part of a neighborhood swim team, and we’re pretty sure he’s ready to move up to the next level.
