Liu Jianle was born with 60% her body covered in Fur, due to a very rare disease which only effects about 1 in 1 billion people.

At age two, her skin condition became the least of her problems.  Her mother, not wanting to care for the “disfigured” little girl abandoned the family. A short time later her father felt as though he could no longer bear the burden of child either and dropped her off at a nursery, never returning to pick her up.

Officials at the nursery where she was dropped off made requests through various newspapers and other sources, looking for Liu’s parents or relatives. It took about six months for the grandfather of a cousin to read the article and recognize little Liu. He picked her up and she has been staying with him since.

Her grandfather has expresses concerns about her being teased by other children. She still has been unable to make a friend, the children are fearful of her appearance.

Though her condition is similar in appearance to Hypertrichosis Universalis (which leaves the body entirely covered in hair), there is no official explanation for her disease.

Liu's condition is very rare and only effects about 1 in 1 billion

After being abandoned by her mother and then dropped at a local nursery by her father, who never returned to pick her up, her cousin's grandfather recognized her and and brought her home to live
