Tom Cruise: Most men can relate to Tom Cruise’s phobia. The “Top Gun” star is afraid of going bald — otherwise known as chaetophobia.
Nicole Kidman: The movie star says she still has trouble with lepidopterophobia, a fear of butterflies. “I would climb over the fence, crawl around to the side of the house — anything to avoid having to go through the front gate if one landed there.”
Alfred Hitchcock: Despite his films striking fear into people, the famous director had a severe fear of eggs — ovophobia. He said “I’m frightened of eggs, they revolt me. That white round thing without any holes … have you ever seen anything more revolting than an egg yolk breaking and spilling its yellow liquid?” He also had a fear of the police (policophobia).
Lyle Lovett: The American crooner admits he suffers from taurophobia, a fear of bulls and cows. He says he was once caught by a bull and rammed into a fence at his uncle’s farm.
Sean “P Diddy” Combs: The rap star admitted on the “Tonight Show With Jay Leno” that he is frightened of toes. Combs told Leno, “I somehow get to see the toe on the first date — it’s mandatory. I may not go for a kiss, but I’m definitely going to see if that second toe is long.” It’s possible he suffers from podophobia, a fear of feet.
Johnny Depp: Luckily, Captain Jack Sparrow didn’t have to face any clowns in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies since Johnny Depp suffers from coulrophobia, the fear of the circus fixtures.
Oprah Winfrey: We’re guessing members of Oprah’s studio audience weren’t allowed to chew Hubba Bubba, since the talk show mogul suffers from chiclephobia, a fear of gum.
Sarah Michelle Gellar: Ironically, the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star suffers from coimetrophobia, a fear of cemeteries. Wonder how she kicked all that vampire butt on TV?
Marilyn Monroe: The Hollywood starlet suffered from agoraphobia, the fear of public or open spaces. Other agoraphobes include Kim Basinger, Howard Hughes and Paula Deen.
