The Professionals star dies

Lewis Collins, a star from the hit British seventies show The Professionals, has died aged 67.

His agent told the BBC: “He died peacefully at his LA home surrounded by his family. Privacy is asked for at this very sad time.”

The Professionals revolved around the exploits of a fictional crime fighting unit called CI5.

The programme ran between 1977 and 1983, for 57 episodes.

Collins’ character Bodie was the muscle of the three man team, specialising in weaponry, martial arts and advanced driving.

He starred alongside Martin Shaw and Gordon Jackson.
