Man United warn Le Havre over Pogba claims

Manchester United have warned French side Le Havre they will take action against them unless they stop repeating claims that the English Premier League champions offered financial inducements to Paul Pogba’s family in order to lure the teenager to Old Trafford. United have grown angry at the sustained assault by Le Havre, which came in the wake of a transfer ban imposed on Chelsea last week for a similar infringement of the rules.

Wenger slams UEFA’s Eduardo ‘witch-hunt’

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has called the decision by European football’s governing body UEFA to charge striker Eduardo with diving against Celtic a "complete disgrace" and accused them of staging a "witch-hunt" against the player. French PM issues apology over Bastareau

French Prime Minister Francois Fillon has apologized to his opposite number in New Zealand, John Key, over the recent "unacceptable behavior" of France rugby center Mathieu Bastareaud. The 20-year-old Stade Francais player, who is the cousin of Arsenal defender William Gallas, has been hospitalized with psychiatric problems after lying over an alleged assault outside the team hotel in Wellington — following France’s 14-10 defeat against the All Blacks on June 20.

Kaka has medical ahead of $100M Real deal

Kaka moved closer to a reported $100 million move to Real Madrid on Monday when the AC Milan star had a medical in Brazil at the request of the Spanish Primera Liga giants, his Federation said.
