FIA to probe Singapore crash

Formula One’s governing body has launched an investigation into "alleged incidents at a previous Formula One event". Although the FIA haven’t yet formally disclosed the race in question, it has been reported by several new agencies that the race in question is the inaugural Singapore Grand Prix held in September last year. The investigation is believed to relate to a crash by Renault’s Nelson Piquet.

Apple to launch iPhone in China

Apple’s iPhone is set to make its debut in China by the end of this year after the US company reached agreement with China Unicom, the country’s second-largest mobile operator. China Unicom on Friday said it would start selling the 3G iPhone in the fourth quarter after signing a non-exclusive three-year contract with Apple

Title race revived as Liverpool crush United

The Premier League title race was thrown wide open on Saturday as Liverpool crushed 10-man Manchester United 4-1 at Old Trafford to move to within four points of the defending champions. Rafael Benitez’s side superbly responded from going a goal behind as Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard turned the match on its head before the break, with Fabio Aurelio and Andrea Dossena easing Liverpool well clear in the second half. In contrast, it was a day to forget for United defender Nemanja Vidic, who gifted Torres the equalizer before being sent off against Liverpool for the second time this season
