Tamil Tiger ‘leader’ arrested in Thailand

A leader of the defeated Tamil Tiger rebel group has been arrested in Bangkok, Thailand, state television in Sri Lanka reported Thursday. Investigators would not release what was said in the conversation but the clues have led police to try and find the woman.

‘Victoria Beckham look-a-like’ clue in Madeleine McCann disappearance

A new witness in the disappearance of British girl Madeleine McCann has told investigators he talked with a "Victoria Beckham look-a-like" whose may have revealed clues about the girl’s fate, a family spokesman said Thursday. Ambassador visits jailed U.S. journalists in North Korea

The Swedish ambassador met with two imprisoned American journalists in Pyongyang on Tuesday, a state department spokesman said, their first visit with him since a North Korean court handed down their 12-year sentence. The spokesman said he could not provide details of the conversation between the Swedish ambassador and Current TV journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling. The journalists were apprehended in March near North Korea’s border with China and accused of illegally crossing the border and plotting a smear campaign against North Korea

Cafe owner thrives with no-pricing policy

Cafe owner Sam Lippert has come up with an innovative way to cope with the recession: He’s done away with pricing and simply asks customers to pay what they want. Lippert says sales and customer count has increased markedly since the change, and he’s looking at adding more staff. Lippert spoke Tuesday with John Roberts on CNN’s “American Morning” about how he came up with the idea and how customers have reacted.
