One Direction planning TV show

One Direction are in talks to get their own TV show. confirms Simon Cowell.

Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan will be meeting with Simon in the next few weeks to discuss details of the new project, which could be a fly-on-the-wall reality programme.

According to the media mogul, a decision will be made very soon.
“I think there’s something in the works, a possible TV show,” he told UK newspaper The Mirror. “We’re going to talk about that in the next couple of weeks. They’re always busy these guys.”

Cowell went on to confirm something that will make One Direction fans very happy: their fourth studio album will be released in 2014.

The group’s last album was 2013’s Midnight Memories, and Simon is hoping their new record will be just as successful.

“The important thing is they’ve got a new album out this year,” he said, noting that while the band have been nominated four times at next week’s BRIT awards, he doesn’t really care about winning.

“It means more to them than it does to me, but I hope they pick up a few. Honest to God, all I’m interested in is record sales. It’s nice to get an award but if you don’t, you don’t. I don’t lose any sleep over it.”

Aside from the upcoming reality show, One Direction have also been given an open invitation from Matthew Morrison to star on Glee.

According to Morrison, Cowell is more than welcome to join them.

“Both my and Jane Lynch’s dream cameo is Simon Cowell. So maybe the boys could bring their manager,” he told UK newspaper the Daily Star.
