Oasis singer sued over love child

Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallgher is being sued for US$3 million by an American journalist who claims he fathered a child with her.

Rumours have been swirling in the UK after it was revealed an unnamed rock star was caught in a desperate battle to stop his wife learning about his love child.

Today, The New York Post outed Gallagher and celebrity reporter Liza Ghorbani as the fueding pair.

Ghorbani, 39, reportedly claims she gave birth to the singer’s daughter less than a year ago after a one night stand.

After paying for the medical costs of the birth herself, Ghorbani was now suing him in the Manhattan Family Court for US$3million, which was listed as Anonymous vs Anonymous.

Ghorbani has written profile stories about rock-and-roll stars for Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

The child was thought to be just under a year old, which dated the affair back to about the time she wrote an article about a night in New York’s bars with Gallagher, the Daily Mail said.

Gallagher’s spokesman told the paper his lawyers were taking action against the New York Post.

“We are not going to comment on gossip.”

Gallagher married to All Saints singer Nicole Appleton in 2008 and has three children. He was previously married to Patsy Kensit.
