Moore demands Kutcher’s support

Demi Moore is demanding spousal support from Ashton Kutcher in newly filed divorce documents.

The 50-year-old actress has lodged her first formal response to Kutcher’s divorce petition.

Documents obtained by TMZ suggest Moore is also asking that her ex pay her attorney’s fees.

The actress cites the date of separation as November 17, 2011.

The date is critical as Kutcher was famously accused of cheating on Moore with a then 22-year-old girl named Sara Leal a month prior. Leal publicly said Kutcher told her he was separated at the time but that claim is contradicted by the actress’ filing.

Moore cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the marital split.

Moore and Kutcher announced they were parting ways after six years of marriage in November 2011, with Kutcher petitioning for divorce in December last year.

Her filings come amid reports settlement talks have become strained between the pair.

Moore and Kutcher are said to be battling through negotiating the terms of their settlement but if an agreement is not made the case could head to trial.

Earlier reports suggested Ashton has been reluctant to offer a payout to Moore.

Kutcher is currently the highest-paid actor in television, reportedly earning an impressive US$24 million (NZ$28.85m)
