Lohan ‘bolts from rehab’

Lindsay Lohan allegedly dashed from rehab just minutes after stepping foot into the facility.

The 26-year-old actress was sentenced to spending 90 days in a treatment facility in connection to her June 2012 car crash.

She was due to enroll into rehab no later than Thursday May 2.

In a last minute switch-up Lohan changed treatment centres, abandoning Seafield Center in New York for Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, California.

TMZ reported that Lohan was unhappy with committing to Seafield because the facility restricts patients from smoking cigarettes. The problem with this is Seafield was signed off by prosecutors and Morningside reportedly was not.

When Lohan stepped into Morningside on Thursday she apparently left a mere two minutes after her entry.

“She told people there that she didn’t need rehab,” a source close to the situation told Radar Online.

“And then she left. Everyone was stunned.”

Another source told The New York Daily News that she shopped at an electronics store shortly before fleeing the facility.

Apparently photographers were hot on her tail.

“She went shopping at an electronics store then she was on the [rehab center] property for a couple minutes but got spooked by the paparazzi,” a source told the newspaper. “She was saying, ‘I’m not going to rehab. I’m not going to rehab. Take me back to the airport.'”

The actress could be in more legal trouble now, as prosecutors did not sign off on Morningside.

If neither the Los Angeles City Attorney nor the Santa Monica City Attorney were notified for approval, Lindsay would be in violation of her plea deal.

Prosecutor Terry White is prepared to take action on the matter.

“If there’s credible confirmation she’s heading back to New York, then I’m going to have to go in and ask the court to issue a warrant,” he told the Daily News.

Lohan could face up to 90 days in jail if she’s found guilty of violating the agreement.
