KPatz officially dead. Who’s next?

It’s over for KPatz.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have finally called it quits, nearly a year after Stewart was caught cheating on Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director.

Although many expected the relationship to end after Stewart was forced to issue a humiliating mea culpa last year to the US tabloids that exposed her affair with Brit Rupert Sanders, KPatz (or RobSten if you prefer) managed to patch things up.

Cynic said the only reason the couple stayed together was to promote the last chapter in the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn: Part 2.

According to sources, publicists tried to minimise the damage Stewart’s affair would have on the highly lucrative Twilight saga and kept the couple together for the cameras.

The couple, who fell in love almost four years ago while making the first Twilight, reportedly split in December – a month after Breaking Dawn: Part 2 came out – but got back together and seemed to be going strong.

They were seen together after the Met Gala earlier this month and had flown back to Los Angeles together.

However, sources told People magazine that the couple have not been able to move on from Stewart’s cheating scandal.

The news of their split follows reports that Pattinson bailed on Stewart’s plans for his 27th birthday and rumours that Stewart had on Monday moved out the home they share.

But People’s source claims that the split may not be permanent, saying “it would not be surprising if the on-and-off-again pair got back together again”.

The split means the paps and the tabs will have to train their sights on a new young Hollywood power couple.

Amazing Spider-man stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be getting nervous.
