Katie said she wanted nothing from Tom other than a divorce and that’s exactly what she got.

The settlement of the Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise divorce includes no spousal support, but Cruise will pay $400,000 a year in child support until their daughter turns 18

TMZ reported that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ divorce finally settled.

Accroding to the website Katie got no lump sum payout, which was already expected since the prenup already shut het out of Tom’s $250 million fortunate.

But we were not expecting her to walk away with nothing but a child support.

Katie will get money for child support, but it’s way less than a judge could have ordered. According to the settlement, Tom must pay Katie $400,000 a year in child support. That comes to $33,333.33 a month. The money will be paid by electronic transfer.

Tom must pay Suri’s support for the next 12 years — until she turns 18. All tolled, that comes to $4.8 million.

Tom must also pay Suri’s expenses, including medical, dental, insurance, education, college and extracurricular costs.

And … both Tom and Katie agree that Suri will NOT attend a “residential school” from now through her high school years. Translation — she can’t be shipped off to boarding school — Scientology or otherwise.

“We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri’s best interests,” the former couple of five years said in a joint statement in the wake of their divorce news.

“We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other’s commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other’s roles as parents.”

Katie could have gotten more child support under New York law if the case went to trial, but both she and Tom decided to settle quickly. I don’t know what was going on with their marriage but she must be really miserable that she didn’t fight for anything but a child support.
