Justin Bieber" ‘I’m just a boy’

Justin Bieber says the mistakes he makes are a result of not being a “robot” but a 19-year-old boy.

The 19-year-old superstar spoke candidly to Ryan Seacrest during a phone interview, where he openly admitted he makes mistakes just like everybody else.

But the Boyfriend singer hopes to learn from his teenage mishaps, as he matures in the media spotlight.

“I make mistakes growing up as everybody does, I’m not perfect, I’m not a robot. People forget I’m a human being, so I gotta make mistakes and grow from it and grow stronger and that’s what I plan to do,” he explained.

“People don’t really get to see me and that I’m really a 19 year old boy.”

Bieber has played around 150 shows in the last sixth months, touring all around the world.

Some of his tour antics have drawn scrutiny from the press, including news he and his entourage were detained at Brisbane airport by customs for suspected drug possession by one of his friends.

“I’m becoming a man but I’m still 19, I’m still finding myself and when I have the media attacking me every day it’s no less of bullying than what happens in schools, these people calling me names and saying things and they don’t know what’s true,” he insisted.

Focusing his attention on his upcoming behind-the-scenes movie Believe, Bieber told Seacrest he hopes the film will have an effect on the whole world.

He also wasn’t shy when talking about his goals for the future, declaring that he’s determined to win everybody’s respect.

“I think that this movie really shows who I am as a person and that I just wanna help people and inspire the world,” Justin said.

“I want to become a young mogul. I want people to respect me for not only music but for making all the right decisions. And sometimes you have to make some wrong ones first.”
