Hulk reacts to homoerotic crush

Google “Science Bros” and you’ll enter the homoerotic world of Marvel man-crushes.

It’s a subculture that gets excited about the Tony Stark’s bromance with Dr Bruce Banner, two science geeks who just happen to be Iron Man and the Hulk.

Fan art shows the two heroes exchanging meaningful looks in various poses and situations.

The whole thing was inspired by the chemistry between actors Robert Downey Jr and Mark Ruffalo (aka Stark and Banner) in last year’s Avengers.

It’s fun stuff, and very popular in the geek world, but what Ruffalo and Downey Jr get up to online is a surprise to the actors themselves.

When entertainment site Vulture asked Ruffalo what he thought of Science Bros, the laid back actor looked perplexed and then asked to see examples.

“I’ve never Googled myself on the internet. Are you joking There’s all this art of me and Robert

“There’s thousands of them. This is awesome. I’ve never heard of it. Why hasn’t anyone told me about that So, are they all quasi-homoerotic” he asked. “Like tinged with … that’s cute!

“I endorse it 100 per cent. You know what it is It’s open-source creativity.”

He then told Vulture Downey Jr would laugh his ass off at the pics.
