Gossip Girl SPOILER ALERT: Are Blair and Chuck Set for Wedded Bliss?

That’s romance: Chuck bends his bride back for show-stopping kiss

As Gossip Girl nears its series finale, some possibilities  are being leaked.

A Rollercoaster Romance

Their romance has been a rollercoaster, with more downs than ups.

What’s going on? Blair is horrified as a police office interrupts their wedded bliss

But when, at the end of last season, Blair finally picked Chuck… the Gossip Girl faithful breathed a sigh of relief.

However, it wasn’t a done deal, so they’re still waiting for a happy ending… and this could be it.

Actors Leighton Meester and Ed Weswick were spotted filming what looks like their characters’ wedding scenes in Central Park, New York on Monday. Leighton wore a beautiful pale blue beaded gown, with stunning silver leaf headdress, while Ed, who plays Chuck, matched the colour on his suit lapels.

He was spotted filming a scene where he looked to be running, perhaps to his own wedding, while Blake Lively’s Serena carried a bridal bouquet.
The apparent wedding scene was taking place in the stunning ‘angel tunnel’ leading to the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.

Kiss Interrupted

After apparently sealing the deal, Chuck leans in for a kiss with his bride, before they are interrupted by a police officer.

It isn’t long before the groom is being torn away from his new wife as he is arrested. In a new interview, Meester opened up about saying goodbye to the drama series.

Dog-walking duty: Meanwhile Kelly Rutherford was seen taking her dog for a walk in between takes

‘I think it’s ending at a beautiful, perfect time,’ Meester told Vulture.

‘But it’s [also] because our contracts are up. I don’t think anyone wants to stay after their contracts.’ Meester also admitted that working on the same project for six years can become ‘sort of tedious’ – and says she now wants to ‘move beyond’ Gossip Girl.

An Amazing Tool to Learn From

She added: ‘It’s been an amazing tool to learn from, and I owe pretty much everything… to Gossip Girl.

‘But I could say, somewhat, [that] it’s my personal growth that has made me want to move beyond it. ‘I was 20 when I started, and I’m 26 now, so you don’t want to be doing the same thing over a period that long.’
