4-year-old Border Collie Herds Tigers Like They Were Sheep

Solo and orphaned tiger cub enjoy a moment together in the shade.

Solo, a 4-year-old Border Collie doesn’t have any sheep. His owner says his herding instinct is still very strong, so the dog has taken to rounding up big cats and even the occasional hyena.

Solo lives in a lion park in South Africa, his owner says he enjoys rounding up the lions as if they were sheep and that he also seeks out the occasional hyena or jackals he herds and plays with as well. Even though the animals Solo is dominating are much larger and more fierce, there have been no accidents or attacks.

His owners say that his ability comes in handy when the family take nature trips to view those Siberian Tigers in their habitat. Everyone is hoping Solo will stay out of trouble and continue his rounding for years to come.
